Sunday

I slept all night for the first time since we arrived. Between the jet lag, anxiety, perimenopause, and too much coffee, I really thought I’d never sleep well again. But I think my nervous system is finally starting to relax. I made coffee (we have a coffeemaker!), then a late breakfast, and am now relaxing with my wife and the cats (we have chairs!). It’s the first day without a giant to do list.

It’s nighttime now. I did some cooking, read for a while, and after dinner we took a lovely walk. We found a rainbow mural!  Definitely a good sign on the eve of Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈

How long will it feel surreal, living here?

Happy Pride!
